Half Moon Delicato
Half Moon Delicato passed his performance test in Berlin in April 2006 having gained an exceptionally high dressage index. In January 2006, he was 3rd in the final of the 4 year old CDN Verden and then in August contested the World Breeding Championships in Verden going through to the final of a very strong four year old stallion class and finishing 8th in that final. After arriving in the UK in September he went on to be licensed with the Hanoverian Society taking the title of Champion Stallion with judge Ludwig Christmann from the German Verband commenting ‘this stallion was outstanding under saddle and should go on to become an international dressage horse’. He has also been presented and approved by the BWBS and Oldenburg Verband.
Half Moon Delicato was nominated to represent Britain at the World Breeding Championships in Verden in 2007. He has only lightly competed this year while focusing on training and finishing the changes. He will contest the Young Horse Championships at Addington at the end of August.
Half Moon Bertoni
Half Moon Bertoni has had a very successful career to date having won and been placed in many Championships at all levels; he has competed at the National Championships every year since he was 4 years old. In 2006 he qualified directly to the Nationals at Intermediaire I level in only 3 outings and also at Intermediaire II after only 4 tests at this level. Bertoni and Julie partnered by Catherston Humbug and Jacky Stolper are the 2006 Rhinegold Intermediaire I Pas De Deux Champions having beaten the rest of the field by 7% at the Championships held at the Hickstead International Show. In 2007 Bertoni gained qualification directly to the Nationals at Intermediaire II and was 4th in the Intermediaire I regional championship. In 2008 he has again gained qualification to the Nationals at Intermediaire II and qualified for the regionals at Intermediaire I with percentages between 67 and 68% at Premier League shows including 5th at Wellington Premier League.
His excellent temperament and exceptional good looks are passed on to his progeny who are also having alot of success - including Half Moon Bardolino who is on the 2008 Junior Team going to Portugal.
